Due to ill-health, Dorothy Rundle, who founded the David Rundle Trust in N. Devon, has wound the trust up. We thank Dorothy for the years of selfless fund raising (including her walk round Devon), her visits to Africa and for her wonderful talks to our Clubs. We all wish her well.

Invitation from District Chairman Deirdre – 20th April

Invitation from District Chairman Deirdre:

Silly Socks : Last but very much not least!  To raise funds for BEAT.UK, Association President Zena Cole’s chosen charity, I have booked a Silly Socks beginners Line Dance evening on Thursday 20th April 2017 at the Berry Head Hotel in Brixham.  Dancers and non-dancers are welcome.  If you want to sit and enjoy the music, that is fine too.  The music is very varied, not just Country and Western.  Viv is an expert line dance instructor and she will be teaching easy dances.

The bar will be open to serve drinks and bar snacks and Viv and Barry are also known as the singing Duo “Twogetherness”.  Some of you may have seen them on cruises.  They will be providing some entertainment during the evening while we have a breather.  I hope to see lots of you there, especially members from the South Area and if anyone is in touch with the past members of Brixham please would you tell them about it and invite them to come too.  Bring your friends and neighbours and have a lovely evening with us.

Please contact me for tickets which will be £5 a head and will be on sale at the Christmas lunch and onwards.  I do hope lots of you will come and support this fundraiser.  Please wear flat comfortable shoes and odd socks or silly socks.  (No heels that would damage the floor please).  There is plenty of car park space.  Please put the date in your diary.
